Marie Claire Designer of the Year

Creative Director, Camilla Freeman-Topper is awarded 2025 Designer of the Year by Marie Claire.

CAMILLA AND MARC proudly celebrates Creative Director Camilla Freeman-Topper, awarded Designer of the Year at the 2025 Marie Claire Women of the Year Awards. This honour reflects her vision and unwavering dedication to craft - a commitment to creating a modern wardrobe defined by strength, ease, and enduring beauty.

Camilla’s design philosophy is anchored in intentionality: garments that elevate everyday dressing, and honour the quiet power found in simplicity. Each piece is created with care, to support women in how they move through the world.

This recognition also highlights the purpose that sits at the heart of her work. The 'Ovaries. Talk About Them.' campaign is a philanthropic movement, dedicated to women, and bringing the world’s first early-detection test for ovarian cancer to clinical trials. Since launching in 2020, the campaign has raised more than $2.5 million, directly supporting the UNSW Gynaecological Cancer Research Group, led by Professor Caroline Ford.

Camilla Freeman-Topper says "To the women who wear our pieces, thank you for inviting us into your world. Every design we create is more than fashion; it’s a chapter in your story, a keepsake that celebrates who you are. Everything we do is in service of women, and in honour of our mother. The CAMILLA AND MARC brand and our Ovaries. Talk About Them campaign exist because of her, and because of you. Thank you for this honour. Here’s to continuing this journey with love, purpose, and hope for what’s ahead."

Designer of the Year honours not only Camilla’s creative vision, but the deeper intention that defines CAMILLA AND MARC - to empower women through craft, with love and purpose.
